1. Domestic Production
The domestic production volume for July 2008 increased 29.6% compared to July 2008, due to increased production of the Mazda3 (known as the Axela in Japan), Mazda2 (Demio), Mazda6 (Atenza) and other models. [Domestic production of key models in July 2008]

2. Overseas Production
The overseas production volume for July 2008 exceeded the figure for the same month last year, up 6.6% year-on-year, mainly due to brisk sales of the Mazda6 (Atenza) and the BT-50 pickup. [Overseas production of key models in July 2008]

The domestic sales volume for July 2008 rose 10.7% over July 2007 due to the sales launch of the Mazda Biante, and healthy sales of the Mazda5 (Premacy) and the Mazda6 (Atenza).

Mazda’s registered vehicle market share was 6.3% (up 0.2 points year-on-year), with a 3.2% share (up 0.5 points year-on-year) of the micro-mini segment and a 5.3% total market share (up 0.4 points year-on-year). [Domestic sales of key models in July 2008]

July 2008 exports exceeded the volume for the same month last year, up 29.8% year-on-year, mainly due to increased shipments of the Mazda3, Mazda2 and Mazda6.

On a market basis, exports to North America, Europe, Oceania and other markets (the Middle East and Asia) were healthy.
