Tata Motors launches Indica Vista

Tata Motors has recently launched its fully Indian car – the Indica Vista in India. This second generation Indica completely designed, engineered, and built in India.

The car has made an immediate impact on the markets, which can be gauged by Maruti’s reaction of dropping its prices for small cars. Tata has introduced seven variants of this car. The 1.2L variant is priced at INR. 3.49 lakhs. The highest model is priced at INR 4.88 lakhs.

According to Tata Motors President Rajiv Dube, the car will be introduced in International markets within the next six months. The first generation Indica will not be phased out, but out of the 12 variants only six or seven will remain in the market.

Tata Motors plans to invest around Rs. 1700 crores in its various manufacturing capabilities. Additionally, it has tied up with car maker Fiat for selling its Nano abroad through Fiat’s distribution and sales network.
