M&M looking at global alliances for two wheeler business

Just after a month of acquiring Kinetic, Mahindra & Mahindra has mentioned that it could go in for global alliances and acquisitions to augment and develop its two wheeler business.

M&M president (automotive) Pawan Goenka mentioned that they were open to all possible alliances, which could be either technological partnership or acquisition to strengthen their two wheeler business.

Accordingly, they will look for business relationships or takeovers in China and South East Asia for low-end bikes, and the same in Europe for high end bikes.  According to him, "Kinetic gave us a good starting point and we are looking to enhance it further," The Company is already present in a range of segments including utility vehicles, three-wheeler, farm equipment, and drugs.
