Tata Motors hunting for new sites for manufacturing the Nano

Tata Motors started hunting for new sites on Wednesday to manufacture the Nano after it suspended it work on its Singur plant in wake of massive farmer and political protests.

The suspension was announced late on Tuesday. Nevertheless, it stopped short of announcing that the company had pulled out of West Bengal on a permanent basis. A senior company official said that they were sill optimistic that normalcy would be expected to return in the next few days, though nothing had taken place in the last few months. 

At the plant which is nearly complete, there were expectations that peace would be restored, though there was a complete breakdown of operations at Singur.
