Uttraakhand may provide 50 more acres to Tata Motors
Uttarkhand may provide 50 acres more to Tata Motors even as there is apprehension over the Nano project and if it will be shifted to the state.
It seems that there is only 50 acres of land available for Tata Motors, which is seeking 100 acres for purpose of housing.
However, top officials said that a final decision was awaited in this connection.
There is a further demand by the company to reduce the lease rent from Rs. 5 to Re 1 per square meter of the 1000 acre industrial plot for the Ace truck manufacturing facility.
Uttarkhand government had allotted 1,000 acres of key agricultural land at the Pant Nagar industrial estate, with the anticipation that Tata would set up the Nano project there.
