Fiat to bring cheapest car in stable to India by 2010

According to Fiat CEO Sergia Marchionne, Fiat proposes to bring the world’s cheapest car in India by 2010.

The company will also launch the car worldwide around the same time. However, he refused to disclose the price of the car.

This car is not on lines with the Tata Nano Concept, and won’t be a Fiat brand because Fiat is considered to be an upscale brand globally.

The car will cater to developed markets initially and it is expected to be produced in its Serbian plant.

Accordingly, Fiat is in talks with several Chinese companies for possible tie-ups and partnerships.

Fiat intends to strengthen its presence in the Asian markets, along with boosting its market share.
