Mercedes Benz planning to introduce A-Class in India

India's Biggest Car Marketplace - Buy / Sell Mercedes Benz Cars Online - Find Reviews and Users CommentMercedes Benz has announced that it is studying a possibility for introducing its A-Class car in the country.

This A-Class car is the smallest car in the portfolio of the company, though it may cost more than some of the luxury cars in the country.

Speaking about the further plans in India, Mercedes Benz COO Rainer Schmuckle mentioned that "We are evaluating the Indian market regarding price positioning and overall perception of the company as far as the A-Class range is concerned.

However, we have not taken any decision so far whether and when to introduce the A-Class car in India," The company is also planning to introduce a series of its new hybrid models in the country.

The manufacturer is introducing its new S-Class hybrid car in the global markets in 2009.

These are going to be followed by more vehicles of this type in the years 2010 and 2011.
