SMA Eberspaecher Exhaust Systems Pvt. Ltd., which was created in 1997 as a result of a joint venture between Eberspaecher GmbH of Germany and Pune-based SM Auto Engineering Pvt. Ltd, will be soon moving to its ultra modern manufacturing facility in Chakan near Pune.

Measuring about 5,000 sq. m, the facility has come up in the heart of the Indian automotive centre.  The company aims to provide its know how to the increasingly engineering intensive requirements of Indian car and commercial manufacturers.

Dr. Thomas Wunsche, managing director of Eberspaecher said "In future, Eberspaecher wishes to play a leading role in the exhaust technology area on the emerging Indian market. Due to the dramatic speed of growth and the entry into the after-treatment of exhaust emissions, the Indian market offers to us excellent perspectives."
