HTC handset loaded with WiMax soon to be launched

HTC is reportedly readying the “T8290” a phone which is WiMAX-enabled which would be compatible with Sprint`s new “4G” XOHM network. Photographs and specifications were released by the Nedge2K website. The photos were leaked and it gives a brief preview of the hi-tech phone.

The phone is apparently loaded with WiMax data capabilities. The HTC T8290 runs windows Mobile and works on GSM+ Wimax networks. It has a large 800x3.8 inch screen and is WiFi/Bluetooth enabled. There is a front facing camera in the top right which complements the one facing the rear end.

In the past Sprint has partnered with HTC on multiple occasions and this development follows Sprint's rollout earlier this week of its XOHM WiMAX service.
