Honda Motor India deploys Servigistics

Servigistics, the leading strategic service management solution provider, and Entercoms, the leading service chain management solutions provider, today announced that Honda Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (HMI), the wholly owned subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Ltd., will roll out Servigistics Service Parts Management to reduce inventory and increase demand satisfaction across India. Entercoms India, a strategic partner of Servigistics, will implement the solution and support it.

Honda Motor India's primary focus is providing service parts for Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, Honda Motorcycles and scooters India ltd. and Honda Siel Power Products India ltd. All these companies have retained leadership positions in their respective categories for the past many years in India.

Honda selected the Servigistics solution for its ability to handle multiple layered locations and to minimize excess by enabling transfers between locations. Once implemented, the solution will increase planner efficiency and significantly decrease the delivery lead time to dealers across India by improving part availability while bolstering customer satisfaction and loyalty. Servigistics and Entercoms have a history of implementing world-class parts management solutions together and have reduced spare parts inventory for its clients by 15-20% post solution implementation. Honda Motor India expects to improve its parts inventory significantly with this solution.
