Porsche to launch luxury sedan in India

Porsche is set to launch its four-door, four-seater luxury sedan 'Panamera' late next year. High hopes are set on the yet to be launched Panamera. The company is hoping to bring the luxury sedan to India simultaneously with its global launch which is scheduled for late-2009.

Besides Mumbai and Delhi, dealerships will be established in the cities of Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai in the next four-five months. The company plans to roll out a pre-owned car programme in 2009, for which cars will be sourced from within India

Since the Porsche cars on Indian roads are already 2-3 years old, there is a need to bring about new models, according to Porsche India Managing Director Rod Wallace.
