Gee Pee re-launches affordable touch phones

With an aim to give the recently launched i-phones a run for their money, Gee Pee Infotech has revised the pricing of its touch-screen phones just at Rs 7,500. A privately owned medium-sized company, GeePee first revised the price quotient with the launch of its GSM handsets just for Rs 994.

Bijay Agarwal, managing director of GeePee Infotech informed that this has been possible for manufacturing the phones in Shenzhen, China. At present, only CDMA phones are priced below Rs 1,000 and are bundled with connections.

It is to be mentioned here further that the black and white GSM phones offered by Vodafone Magic Box are also bundled with connections and cost Rs 1,199.

With the affordable phones, Gee Pee targets to cover 5 per cent of the total market share of India by 2010.

Gee Pee has already opened a number of their service centers, 'Gee Pee Care' at all the important cities and strategic places for the same.
