Transcend to set up more stores across the country

In a bid to increase its presence in India, Transcend, the well-known memory player will soon be launching exclusive Transcend stores across the country by end-2009.

The setting up of the stores will begin in a phased manner starting with the metros, and A-class cities, gradually moving to tier 2 and 3 markets.  

Along with this Transcend is also planning to strengthen its service support system. The company has already entered into third party partnership to set up exclusive service center Transcend Care from May onwards.

Austin Huang, Sales Manager, Transcend Information Inc. revealed that Transcend attempts to come closer to consumers by expanding its products from memory modules, NAND Flash devices to consumer electronics including; Digital Music player, Ext hard drive, photo frame, SSDs, and card readers.  

Apart for these products Transcend has planned more products targeting consumers like mini digital TV, which it will launch after making strong hold in service in India.

Transcend is also planning to set up its branch office in India.
