MRF receives JD Power award for customer satisfaction

MRF Limited, India's largest tyre company, ranked highest in customer satisfaction with original equipment tyres in India amongst five tyre manufacturers, according to the J.D. Power Asia Pacific 2008 Customer satisfaction Index Study.

Mr. Arun Mammen, Managing Director, MRF Limited, today received the J.D. Power Award for Customer Satisfaction for 2008 at a function in New Delhi today.

MRF ranked highest for a record three consecutive years, a hat-trick and sixth time during the eight years of the J.D. Power Study in India, registering an overall performance of 836 points on a 1000 point scale - 20 points ahead of the closest competitor.

The study analyses new-vehicle buyer's satisfaction with their original equipment tyres by examining five key factors. In order of importance the factors are appearance, durability, traction, ride quality and handling.

The 2008 J.D. Power Original Equipment Tyre Customer Satisfaction index study is based on 3381 new-vehicle owners surveyed between 12 and 18 months of ownership.

J.D. Power Asia Pacific conducts customer research and provides consulting services in the automotive, information technology and finance industries.
