Podio a Portable MP3 Player/Speaker Launched in Taiwan

Taiwan launches the world’s first stereo that finds a place in the user’s pocket. An MP3 player that is small enough to snuggle into user’s pocket, the Agios Technology launches a new PMP cum speaker called Podio. The one-of-a-kind device delivers full and natural sound despite its compact form factor.

Agios has claimed to have put in two years of intensive research and development to finally come out with this MP3 player/speaker. It is housed in the player’s cylindrical metal body is the company’s patent MicroAmp. The micro speaker is only 88mm in length and is packed with a full range driver.

Equipped with a streamline design, the player has an imbued aroma. Boasting of being the first ever palmtop Hi-Fi device invented by a Taiwanese company, the player can be a great accompaniment. The easy-to-use and convenient speaker lasts around 9-20 hours in a speaker mode while playing up to 60 hours in the earphone mode.

The major highlight of the player/speaker is its portability. It can be effortlessly carried around while traveling, jogging, walking, hiking, camping and also for a host of other outdoor activities. Users can hook the MP3 speaker as per their convenience. While being able to place it in the pocket or on the neck, users can also fix it on the handle of their bike.

It is compatible to both MP3 and Windows WMA formats. Podio offers easy connectivity to the PC via an USB port. Powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, the player/speaker weighs 139 gm. The portable mini music player has a storage capacity of around 2GB. The availability or pricing of the Podio is not yet revealed.
