Lenovo announces greener ThinkCentre Desktops in India

Lenovo has recently announced the launch of its greenest, most secure and most manageable ThinkCentre desktop PCs in India. The two desktops are named the ThinkCentre M58 and ThinkCentre M58p.

The key feature of ThinkCentre M58/ M58p is the Power Manager, part of Lenovo’s proprietary ThinkVantage technologies, that enables users to control their electricity consumption remotely. The technology is available for the first time ever on a ThinkCentre PC.

It is to b mentioned here that the ThinkCentre M58/ M58p has achieved the gold status from the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool organization (EPEAT), which testifies the PC range as one of industry’s leading “green” computing solutions.

The M58/M58p has also passed the stringent testing of GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, which probed for the presence of up to 2,000 potentially harmful contaminants, in addition to receiving the GREENGUARD Certification that takes into account children’s higher sensitivity to pollutants.

The ThinkCentre M58p is available in three form factors – Tower, Small and Ultra Small. The desktops start at Rs. 25,595/- and Rs. 46,110/- respectively. All products are available on Lenovo.com and through business partners.
