The much awaited Skoda Yeti has been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show this March. This is Skoda's fifth model in its portfolio and the first production models began rolling off the assembly line at Skoda's Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic.

The all new Yeti will be offered in both front wheel drive and all wheel drive versions in India. Yeti is characterized by compact proportions constructed on a 2578mm wheelbase with 4233mm length, 1793mm width and 1691mm height. This looks promising as the car that was solely needed in the Indian market and judging by the way Skoda has priced its wares the Yeti is sure going to go places.

Yeti will be introduced in the country with a price point around Rs 10-11 lakhs. The modern crossover and pseudo-SUVs are almost non-existent in the Indian market. The Skoda could just be on the money with such an offering with Yeti bringing in more sales.

The determining factor for the success of the vehicle would certainly be its skill to tackle the rough with the smooth. There is a 180mm ground clearance coupled to its ideal angles of arrival and departure, which will make it a mean performer on our terrain.

Moreover the nimble car-like controls and handling abilities along with its most versatile interiors packed with the VarioFlex seating system are bound to make the Yeti a good deal. Yeti could be the ideal single vehicle for a family well suited for both work and play.

In fact, when the rear seats are folded flat, the Yeti offers massive 1760-litres of luggage space. The downhill assistance makes tackling slopes etc so easy. What more could you ask for in a car, this certainly is something worth waiting for.
