Although the city has never been known to have made remarkable changes to its infrastructure, two architects having connections with the city have created a niche for themselves by being amongst the selected ones whose work will be showcased in a book featuring impressive modern architecture in the country.

The coffee table book features 15 architects including Karan Grover and JP Agrawal from the city. Both are also alumni of MS University (MSU). The book titled 'Golden Hands The Power of Architecture' features 30 works by select 15 architects from across the country.

This is the first book of its kind, on contemporary works of leading architects that would be released on Saturday. Two of Grover's projects CII- Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre in Hyderabad and the CII-ABB Institute Quality in Bangalore have found a prominent place in the book.

The project at Hyderabad is apparently the greenest building in the world. In addition to being an aluminus from MSU, Grover practices from the city. What’s more, he is also credited with his work for ensuring ‘UNESCO World Heritage Site’ status for Champaner-Pavagadh.

Agrawal has moved to Kolkata and functions from there. Despite this, he still has strong connections with the city and two of the buildings built by him in Kolkata namely the Infinity Towers and Technopolis have been featured in the book.

Agrawal said Infinity Towers was the first IT project in West Bengal while Technopolis was the first gold rated green IT building in India and also the first gold rated green IT building of its size in the world. He added "it is an honor to be featured among the best in the country".
