LVMH's Guerlain brand to enter Indian market by Diwali

In 2009, LVMH’s brand Guerlain that makes French luxury skincare, fragrance and make-up is probing to enter the Indian market by Diwali.

Sylvaine Delacourte, director of perfumes creations, at Guerlain, who came to India recently says that," "We plan to launch our complete range of products in skincare and perfumes in India to start with. We have a range of very successful whitening products which we feel will do well in this market".

While launching the range of products of Guerlain, the centre of attraction will be his successful perfume brand Shalimar - which is inspired by the orient and the love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal to initiate the advertising campaign in India. Ms Delacourte admires," We have a very creative ad around Shalimar which is very successful globally and highlights the contemporary image of the brand. We are proud of the campaign and it will be central to our launch in India as well".

Due to hot and humid weather conditions, Guerlain will focus on the ‘fresh’ factor despite of having a range of products with the lot of Indian fragrances such as sandalwood, mimosa and jasmine during its launch in India. Ms Delacourte informed that,” We have a partner in India to source sandalwood for our products through legal channels”. Within next couple of seasons, company is planning in in-shop make-over consultations as well as in launching its extravagant Guerlain Spa products and services.
