LG unveils GW520 & GT505 touchscreen phones

LG is about to launch its new innovation in the form of two new handsets GW520 and GT505 touchscreen phones. LG GW520 and GT505 offer easy access to the internet anytime, anywhere. These handsets are equipped to provide real-time updates as alerts from various social networking sites.

When compared with LG KS360, the latest GW520 and GT505 comprises of upgraded messaging functions, allowing users to read at the very moment updates are posted on the sites. Apart from these users may also update their profiles, status and photos. Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync for business accounts and push email feature for personal accounts is also made available in these phones.

Jeremy Newing, Marketing Head, LG Mobile UK, informs, “Mobile communications have been about more than just voice based calls for a long time, but consumers are now demanding more than just SMS and IM services. They want the kind of messaging and social networking features previously the preserve of high end handsets on a wide range of models, and that is what LG is offering. We recognize the demand for mobile devices that enable quick and easy interaction with social network sites as a growing market. LG aspires to be at the forefront of this with the launch of these great mobile phones”.

LG GW520 touchscreen mobile phone features a 3.0 megapixel camera, sliding QWERTY keypad, HSDPA 7.2 and WAP 2.0 browser. LG520 also adds up 2.8 inch complete touchscreen along with 3G enabled networks. An intimated character can be attached to a contact with the use of the integrated LiveSquare function. For easy and quick access to a contact, just click on this character.

The Wisepilot software helps in providing easy turn by turn navigation option to LG GT505. GT505 also offers voice instructions and 2D/3D mapping along with a 30 days free trial of Wisepilot software.

The wide range of features of GT505 also includes GPS, WiFi, 5megapixel camera, HDSPA 3.6 and 3-inch full touchscreen along with 3G enabled networks. Orange will be the official provider of the LG GT505.

In this month, both LG GT505 and LG GW520 will hit the market. Prices will be disclosed soon.
