Hero Group launching Electric Vehicles

HERO ELECTRIC, a 100 per cent subsidiary of Hero Group is a trusted and credible name in two wheeler market in India, is launching Electric Vehicles with an objective of providing eco-friendly, cost-effective transportation.

Hero Electric is concentrating on creating an economically viable a noise and pollution free and eco-friendly environment. The dream of Hero came true on the launching of battery powered; fuel free, no pollution electric two-wheelers. After an extensive research for 12 long years in the EV segment with its wide range of electric two-wheelers Hero entered the Electric two wheeler segment. Hero has acquired Market Leadership in the category within a short time span of just a year, with a strong network of more than 260 Exclusive Sales and Service outlets.

Hero Electric started manufacturing a wide range of electric bikes in 2007 with its manufacturing lines for both Low Speed and High Speed Electric Two-Wheelers at state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Ludhiana. The Maxi and Optima plus and even recently launched “WAVE” range of Electric bikes are currently being made at the plant from its Ludhiana facility.

In the beginning, Hero Electric has only number of credits like Charging Stations, Preferred Garage Owners (PGO’s), Extra Miles, Easy Wheels, Electric Bike Assistance and others, now has been a pioneer in providing innovative and user friendly solutions to its customers. 

The founder member of the SMEV (SOCIETY of MANUFACTURERS of ELECTRIC VEHICLES) includes Hero Electric and Naveen Munjal who is the Managing Director of Hero Electric is the President of the Society. Electric Four Wheelers, Three Wheelers, Two Wheelers and Auto Components Industry members creates SMEV.
