Nokia adds a latest model E55 to its stable E-Series.  E55 is quite competent for the corporate user alike to the E 75, which happens to be a dual mode business Smartphone. We have a semi-QWERTY keypad - a first for Nokia replacing the sliding keyboard of the E75. Due to such keyboard the thickeness is reduced and it enables the phone to become one of the world’s thinnest Smart Phones at just 9.9mm today.

For real fast internet connectivity, it supports WCDMA, HSDPA and WLAN. The reason is to allow quick internet navigation for the very busy corporate workers. During the travel or busy schedule it allows the businessman to reach out to corporate e-mails. Nokia E55 also consists of a RSS feeder which allows watching the blogs and websites you subscribe to.

The screen of the E55 is 2.4-inch 320 x 240 pixels QVGA display supports up to 16 million colours and has an accelerometer, which automatically switches between portrait and landscape modes.

The phone battery gets charged while connected to your PC/Laptop via USB. This is most advantageous to the business traveler as he doesn’t have to carry the phone charger along.

Nokia E55 supports up to 16 GB micro SD cards which you can use to replace the original 2 GB micro SD which comes in the sales package while onboard memory is 100MB.

Home screen models have been customized by E55, like the other new E Series mobile phones. In addition it offers noise reduction. No! it provides complete noise cancellation.

Thanks to the semi-QWERTY keypad that make messaging(SMS) a total fun, as also the ability to send concatenated SMS. You press the same key twice to enter the second character on the keypad, not like other phones where there is a rocker mechanism to press the key from side to side.

The camera comes with a 3.2MP and video recording is also supported.

Nokia E55 has all the features of standard E Series and is combined with the real thin profile, and low weght  (< 100 gm ) making it a really worth a good business phone.
