New affordable notebooks for students are introduced by HP.  The HP models designed to match students' life style and education settings include Pavilion dv2z, dv3t, dv6t and dv6z. Pavilion dv6z features the 2008 HP MTV Notebook Design Contest's award winning design out of all these designs.

New 12.1-inch HP Pavilion dv2z is in reality a low-end version of 12.1-inch dv2-1003ax and houses the AMD Athlon Neo Ultra-Thin processor MV-40, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, ATI Radeon X1250 graphics with 64MB video memory, optional Blu-ray disc support and different ports. The price of new 12.1-inch HP Pavillion dv2z after rebate is $ 599.99 (Rs 28,800 approx.).

HP Pavilion dv3t features 13.3-inch WXGA HD LED display with 1.25-inches thick chassis and its weight is less than 5 pounds. Dv3t notebook support for dual-core Intel processors ranging from 2GHz to 2.6GHz clock speeds, integrated optical drive, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics, discrete Nvidia GeForce G 105M graphics card, up to 500GB HDD, supports up to 8GB DDR2 RAM, and by choosing 9-cell battery pack over 6-cell battery pack, the battery life will be extended to 7 hours. This notebook is priced at $649.99 (Rs. 31,200 approx.) by HP.

HP 16-inch Pavilion dv6t is offered with full digital entertainment features with 1366x768 pixel resolution supporting HD BrightView LED display. HP is offering to choose between dual-core Intel processors and for graphics, it is giving option of choosing between ATI Radeon HD 4530 512MB or ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB graphics card. 16-inch Pavilion dv6t just like a desktop keyboard has a separate number keypad. The price of this notebook is $649.99 (Rs. 31,200 approx.).

Last but not the least, the Pavilion dv6z Artist Edition 2 comes with software like Corel Video Studio X2, Painter Sketchpad and Paint Shop Pro Photo X2. This incredibly designed notebook will be available in market at $949 (Rs. 45,500) and carries artwork of the winning design at the 2008 HP MTV Notebook Design Contest.
