Jabra SP200 is a great value price phone. All of the basic calling features are available (voice-dialling activation, call answer/reject, and redial, for instance). The bundle also includes a USB charger (along with the standard in-car charger). A second charger can also be handy, but many speakerphones do not provide one.
Jabra SP200 alternatively do not provide some more advanced features, such as voice announcements (for caller ID, for instance) and an FM transmitter.
Thanking conveniently oversized controls, which makes Jabra SP200 is extremely easy to use. Jabra SP200 is odd oblong shaped: squarish at one end and round at the other. The circular end has enormous protruding volume control wheel.
SP200 as soon as unboxed is ready to attach to the car’s sun visors. Behind the Jabra SP200, is the thin prefixed clip looks a bit flimsy, but the clamping mechanism proved to be strong. Throughout the testing, the speakerphone remained tightly affixed to our visor.
The main call control button is large near the top of the Jabra SP200 is easy to locate while we were driving, and provides great tactile feedback on pressing. This button can be used to answer or reject calls, redial, initiate voice-dialling (provided that your cell phone supports this feature), and mute or unmute conversations. Volume can be adjusted by turning the huge volume wheel that is exposed at the top of the unit.
An addition to it is the Jabra SP200’s dedicated on/off switch. Battery can be conserved by turning the unit off when not in use. This particular switch on the side of the unit is small, however, and the knob barely juts out. Still, one can feel it in no time even while driving.
The call quality of the Jabra SP200 is about an average (and occasionally above average) for a product of its genre. Sometimes it is noted by the callers that a subtle muffling, hollow, or wavy effect, but they could hear what the other person says without any problem.
(At times, cust complains, the sound on the other end hears as if I had a cold; at other times, voice had a slightly metallic or robotic edge - but again, all of the words goes through.)
Choppiness or voice breakups are not dealt by any customers. The Jabra SP200 can also do a pretty good job reducing background noise from the car radio and the roadways. Voices over the SP200 sound reasonably good on the person who hears from it, though a little splotchy.
