Mahindra for its two-wheelers unlikely to use Kinetic brand name

Mahindra and Mahindra’s, latest coming the Flyte as its first two-wheeler offering across all markets in India, is deeply thinking to do away with the Kinetic brand in the medium term. 

CNBC-TV18 exclusively reports, M&M is unlikely to have have the Kinetic logo or name on the new 125cc Flyte scooter. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) will launch a portfolio of models, spanning all the segments looking forwards to profit in the booming Indian two-wheeler market in IndiaIndia's largest utility vehicle company will leverage on its existing dealer network to sell its two-wheelers is known from the reliable sources. We cannot also rule out a technical collaboration with Kinetic's current Taiwan-based partner Sang Yang Motors (SYM). 

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) had forge an alliance Kinetic Motor Company Limited (KMCL) for developing two-wheelers in the country, M&M holding an 80 per cent stake in the JV firm and Kinetic Motor the remaining one, is reported earlier.  

In the utility vehicles in India, Mahindra is already a market leader and develops a wide range of vehicles including MUVs, LCVs, passenger vehicles and three wheelers. Over 20 models including new generation utility vehicles like the Scorpio and the Bolero are offered by the M&M. Mahindra had been steadily growing over the years in stature as an international automotive major with a footprint in several countries across the world.
