Bajaj Auto rolls out upgraded version of Pulsar 220 cc

Bajaj Auto, India’s second-largest two-wheeler maker, launched an upgraded version of its flagship bike Pulsar, priced at Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) on Tuesday. 

Mr. S Sridhar Bajaj Auto Ltd CEO (two-wheelers) informs reports here, “we have been continuously evolving our Pulsar range to provide our customers state-of-the-art product with unmatched performance and technology. The new 2009 edition Pulsar 220 has further raised the bar in the performance segment by becoming India's fa stest production bike”.  

The latest bike by Bajaj is an advanced version of Pulsar bike, launched in 2007.  

The other models in the premium segment of Bajaj Auto are Pulsar and Avenger

The sales of the company have been declining since last fiscal year. The company’s this year total two-wheeler sales during May fell 8.42 per cent at 1,65,697 units over the same month last year. 

The total total two-wheeler sales of the Pune-based firm for 2008-09 plummeted by 11.18 per cent at 19, 19,582 units as against 21, 61,095 units in the previous year.
