‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ shows Rani Mukherjee in a ‘Sardar’ role

‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ (previously titled Hadippa), a Yash Raj Film brings out a new challenging look of the famous Bengali actress in Bollywood Rani Mukherjee. The actress plays a role of a girl who’s obsessed with cricket and dons the get-up of a boy to enter an all-boys’ cricket team led by Shahid Kapur. As Rani or a Sardar goes about with her/his pretense, love sprouts between Shahid and her…or him.

Mike Stringer, the British stylist has designed the Rani’s Sikh look in the movie. Movie is set in Punjab and thus Rani’s female costumes comprised mainly of salwar kameez while her male get-up had her donning pathani suits and sports outfit. 

Anurag Singh is the director of the enthusiastic movie while it also entertains with the Sherlyn Chopra playing a sexy model who tries to tempt Shahid with her luring ways. A cameo role is made by Rakhi Sawant.  

Rakhi admires Rani saying that during the shooting of the film Rani looked so convincing as a boy, that she (Rakhi) felt like flirting with her…or him. 

‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ is set to be released in September this year.
