Rumour at Gizmodo.com says that the Microsoft's Tegra based Zune HD media player should be launched on September 8th. The leaked documents also show that Zune HD will ship only in 16 and 32GB capacities.

Previously, there were rumors that it will be launched on 5th September but the 8th seems to be more realistic as usually Microsoft and some other companies usually launch their new products on Tuesday and it also falls on Tuesday. Zune Hd to have 32GB and 16GB capacities is very disappointing as the expectations are high from it but may be later other versions will follow.

The major concern was missing, yes price, was not mentioned in these leaked documents. Due to the multi-touch OLED screen and Nvidia Tegra, the price may be more, but it is yet uncertain.

The Zune HD could pack in such iPod touch-beating smoothness into such a small size is a mystery than its packing Nvidia's teeny, high-performance Tegra processor. Same as Zune HD, Nvidia's Tegra proc is also designed to handle high-def video and Flash with buttery smoothness in small packages. The Zune HD would certainly be able to decode videos with far less necessary power than with any other chipset with the help of the Tegra processor, which ultimately ends up in a combo of better battery life with better video quality.

The flash-based Zune HD is the first one t feature a touchscreen: In this case, it's a 3.3" 16:9 widescreen capacitive OLED with multitouch, packing a resolution of 480x272 and has a new industrial look compared to the line's earlier understated matte style. The inclusion of HD radio and HD (720p) video-out provides the "HD" badging, though the latter is available only with an optional docking station. Therefore, Zune HD will be the first portable media player to include HD radio, which offers song and artist info and far better sound quality than traditional radio all over the world. It also includes an accelerometer, which is pretty much standard at this point.

Multitouch browsing, using a portable browser based on Internet Explorer is also available in the Zune HD.
