“Jab we met” a hit shot of director Imtiaz Ali, is now again joined with Pritam for the music of Saif Ali Khan's production debut Love Aaj Kal. "'Love Aaj Kal' is an out and out romantic film and Pritam at its best created soulful melodies in all romance.
Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone stars the movie that includes seven originals and three remixes in the soundtrack.
The amalgamation of a hit Punjabi pop song by singer Jazzy B and the Hindi song composed by Pritam, Aahun aahun, has an electrifying start with the strumming of the guitar. The song sung by Neeraj Shridhar keeps juggling between the two genres. The mood is all set as soon as you hear it due to the mixture of both Indian and western influences and is very entertaining. Aahun aahun will be a hit in Box office for sure.
The remix version of Aahun aahun is also there, which will become a favorite on the DJ consoles.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan's voice brings life to the inanimate with a beautiful song “Aaj din chadeyya” starts with a small alaap. The song is very soothing to ears and soft, romantic effect; the listeners can get hypntised for a moment with it. The truly has a feel-good factor.
The upcoming duet Chor bazari sung with brilliant vocals by Sunidhi Chauhan and Neeraj Sridhar begins with foot-tapping, peppy music. The song lyrics are not the priority though the music has the potential to impress music lovers.
The remix version of this song is just an average.
“Main kya hoon” the next song is a fast-paced song, which is enhanced by electronic and psychedelic beats and KK’s presence can be felt by this.
The Punjabi flavour takes precedence with the succeeding song Thoda thoda pyar. The song is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and has a folk touch to it in places. But chances are very less for it to be a chartbuster.
Once again Neeraj Sridhar showers the magic of his voice with a lyrics intermingled with the song Ek pardesi mera dil le
This too has a remix version which is much better than the original.
The final song is sweetly sung with the soothing voice of Mohit Chauhan. Ye dooriyan is the song just not a master piece, but the highlight is Mohit's vocals.
Pritam has done a good job on the whole with the soundtrack and has created the songs that are sure to be hits on Box-office.
