Kabirdass Motor Company Limited (KMCL), incorporated in November 2006 has started the manufacturing of electric bikes and scooters under the brand name ‘Xite’ and is planning its distribution too. KMCL has decided to roll out the battery-operated electric vehicles to get benefited from the vast experience of the promoters in the auto component industry, their time-tested ability in vendor development and the growing demand for non-polluting vehicles. 

The company is planning to launch the battery-operated electric bikes or scooters that are very economical with low maintenance cost and zero pollution. The rechargeable batteries will be used so that it can be charged easily using a power connection.

Clean, affordable and eco-friendly city transportation will be a boon to the country by battery-operated scooters. The electric bikes and scooters can operate at a very low cost (less than one unit of per charge for every 50 km), that’s the centre of attraction for Indian market. This scooter does not require regular maintenance and the targeted audience is students, housewives and senior citizens. In just 21 months of time period, over 1,852 bikes and scooters are sold by the company.

Kabirdass first series of manufacturing are an advanced zero-emission, battery-powered (250 Watt to 1500 Watt) scooterettes. Fuel prices are rising constantly and pollution is ever-increasing in such a time these environment-friendly bikes/scooters are the best bet for genNext consumers.

The company saw wide acceptance for its products in Tamil Nadu, and has plans to launch the same in other Southern states like Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. Kabirdass, selling Xite bikes and scooters for a year now, maps its customer profile less than 18 years, or above 40 years.
