SonyInsider reports, the full specifications and the images of the Sony S-Series Walkman have been listed by material.net, a French entertainment retailer. This has confirmed the rumors about the 8GB Sony NWZ-S544 and the 16GB Sony NWZ-S545. Mickey shaped control pad with three circular buttons is intentional or just a coincidence is still not confirm.
The S-Series Walkman player boasts of 16:9 aspect ratio and 2.4-inch QVGA LCD screen. The player consists of the in-built stereo speakers on the face of the player that promise to provide loud and clear music. The player will deliver 42 hours of audio and 6.5 hours of video playback, says Sony. Reportedly, these measurements of battery life are offered with 128Kbps of music quality.
The S-Series Walkman player is a drag and drop player and is compatible with iTunes and Windows Media Player. The player supports audio formats like mp3, WMA, and AAC and also has 30 present FM radio channels. The video is played at a speed of 30 frames per second. The in-built microphone provides the voice recording function and eliminates the digital amplifier and clear bass.
But still there is no official word about these players that have popped up in the wild. But for sure they look better than the other S-series players. Moreover, the a price of €149 (approx. Rs. 10,238) and €129 (approx. Rs. 8,864) for the Sony NWZ-S545 and the Sony NWZ-S544 respectively is quoted by the material.net.
