In her brilliantly illustrated and cleverly written new children's book, "The Ant Lucy and the Hurricane" (published by AuthorHouse), Carmen Navarro-Talavera teaches young ones and their families about the importance of being prepared for hurricane season. She writes:

As parents we must protect our families and make them feel safe and loved by us. This is our first responsibility as parents, friends, grandparents and teachers.
