Mahindra’s domestic auto sales register 16.9% growth in August

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), a part of the US $6.3 billion Mahindra Group, today announced that its domestic auto sales for the month of August 2009 stand at 21410 units, as against 18322 units in August 2008, an increase of 16.9%.

Total UV sales in August 2009 which includes the Scorpio, the XYLO, the Bolero and Pick-Ups stands at 16631 as against sales of 11731 in August 2008, which is a growth of 41.8%.

Mahindra’s YTD domestic sales stand at 105091 units in August 2009, as against 92491 units for the same period last year.

The company sold a total of 22413 vehicles (Domestic + Exports) in August 2009 as against 19249 vehicles sold in August 2008.
