Western Digital has released its latest mini version of its WD TV media player, giving Indian TV a new experience. The latest WD TV Mini Media Player plays RealVideo content from RealNetworks and also supports stored digital content in up to 1080i HD resolution directly on to your HD television. The new media player connects easily to your TV and plays digital movies, music and photos stored on USB drives as well as digital cameras and camcorders.

The device makes life easy for the people who store lots of content like photos videos etc. on their computers and goes through hassle to see it on TV. The new WD TV Mini Media Player supports widest range of file formats including RealMedia Variable Bitrate (RMVB). It also boasts of a rich HD 1080i advanced navigation and user interface. It also has DVD-like navigation with chapter support, trick modes and subtitles and features photo slideshow along with transitions and music.

Moreover, the director of Business Development for RealNetworks said that, “The popularity of the RealVideo formats and its compatibility with the WD TV media player makes it an excellent solution for the users, who wish to enjoy their RealVideo content on TV”. 

The new mini media player also has a thumbnail support including photo thumbnails and music album art and also has an ability to preview your video during navigation (480 and 720 mode only). 

The WD TV media player also has component and composite video output and digital optical audio output via SPDIF. The new media player is a perfect to use device for Indian homes with lots of videos and photos with new occasion every month. 

The WD TV mini media player will be available for Rs. 6000 and have a 1 year warranty as well.
