New LG XPION X30 Ion-based nettop

LG is coming up with new Nvidia ION based nettop XPION X30 (in Korean) in glossy black chasis. The XPION X30 can be VESA mounted easily behind your TV or LCD. It is packed with the Intel’s Atom 230 1.6GHz CPU with 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard-drive

There are also six USB 2.0 ports and the whole thing weighs 1.1kg and uses just 40W of power. The Nvidia ION platform packs Nvidia GeForce 9400M graphics chip used in Apple MacBook Pros and few other notebooks.

Nvidia ION is capable handling full 1080p HD video with true 7.1 HD audio and has support for DirectX 10.

Acer offers its Revo solution for about $300. The XPION X30 is said to be launched tomorrow in Korea and rest of the world is not known yet. The company is providing this ION-based X30 nettop for about $489 (approx. Rs. 23,500).

The nettop is based on the MCP7A chipset and combines Intel's low-power Atom N230 processor with 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard disk drive. The LG XPION X30 is pre-loaded with Windows Vista Home Basic and is said to debut in LG's home market today.
