Ford to reveal new small car this week

With India going great in economic as well as technology development, the country is a major target for all companies to invest. Indian market is second largest after China and is developing fast in car segment. The major car manufacturer of US, Ford is having its eyes on India like all other car makers to develop its business globally from here.

Ford Motors is having its eye on compact and mid-sized cars to make new designs and launch it globally in order to improve profitability and productivity.

Ford Motors is now all up high and going to reveal a new small car in this week. Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Ford Motor, is also making a lightning visit to India to showcase its small car in the middle of this week. Mr Mulally, who took over the reigns of Ford in 2006, divested marque brands Jaguar, Land Rover and Aston Martin before the collapse of the global markets.

This new car is said to be playing an important role in development of the company and its expansion world wide. A person from the company said that, “It’s going to be an exciting event and one moment is not to be missed.”

The small car to be launched in March next year is code named as B517. This little beast would compete to the Hyundai i20 and the Suzuki Swift. In Chennai, the car was showcased to its dealers, recently.

The car will be available in both Petrol and Diesel variants. It is a four door hatch back model. The company has not launched any new model since long time but is just upgrading its existing ones.

The company has number of models very famous in market and also selling high like Endeavour, Ikon, Fiesta sedan, and Fusion car.
