Priyanka Chopra and Hrithik Roshan were adorned with the youth icon awards in the entertainment field at a glittering award ceremony here. While Congress General Secretary, Rahul Gandhi was named the Icon of the year at the inaugural edition of the India Youth Icon Awards.

The awards were jointly organized by Wizcraft Entertainment and electronics major Videocon, to recognize and reward individual excellence and exemplary achievement in the genres of business, sports, entertainment, media, social welfare and justice and technology on Friday night at the Leela Kempinski Hotel.

Priyanka beat Katrina Kaif, while Hrithik overcame actor-director Farhan Akhtar and came on the top of the list. 

Rahul was unable to attend the function to receive award though, Priyanka, who walked the red carpet, said being a youth icon meant a lot.

The Beauty Queen, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was graced with the Global Face of the Year award. Deepika Padukone received the Fashion Icon of the Year award.

Many more other awards in different categories were given like shooter Abhinav Bindra in sports category, author Chetan Bhagat in the arts field and actor Rahul Bose was adorned for social justice and welfare.
