Dell has launched all new 16-inch Dell Latitude Z600 ultra slim laptop on 29th of September. The laptop claims to be one of the world’s thinnest, lightest laptop with wireless charging. 

The new laptop uses new technology Latitude ON, which allows users to access to their e-mail and calendar without fully booting the notebook’s operating system in just seconds. The Latitude Z weighs 4.5 pounds and is just 0.55 inches thick.

It is designed exclusively and with great technology it stands in hand to hand with Apple-class notebooks in the business segment. It truly competes with MacBook Air. Dell is targeting the laptops at executives who work in the finance and banking industries. And therefore has similar features that match the business environment.

The Z600 offers a choice of either an Intel SU9600 processor running at 1.6GHz or the SU9400 clocking in at 1.4GHz, as well as an Intel GS45 Express chip set. There is a choice of 2GB or 4GB of DDR3 (double data rate 3) memory, and the option for one or two SSD that each support up to a 256GB capacity. Dell has also added DisplayPort, eSATA and Ethernet port.

The major attraction is the most important and unique feature of Z600 is that the slim notebook charges wirelessly. The entire wire-free step with legacy ports accessible will impress users with its DVI out port, twin USB ports, and audio out.

There are lot more features available with it like FaceAware, face recognition feature, 2MP webcam, an invisible trackpad, etc.  

The new Latitude Z600 is priced at $2000 (Rs. 96,000) and is currently available in US.
