Japan’s third largest car manufacturer, Nissan Auto is looking forward to bring its luxury car, Infiniti in India soon. The brand is one in its own and the car is most luxuries car.
The features of the car give one elegant looks and luxury. Infiniti is well-known for its luxurious features and power-packed driving characteristics. The car will be giving a very tough competition to Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi and Accura.
The car is already very popular in US and Canada and is looking to expand in countries like Taiwan, South Korea, Russia, Ukraine, China and Western Europe. Even the company has a global Infiniti business unit, which is a separate unit from Nissan Motor Company, which will be studying all the opportunities and Indian market as well.
And but obvious the cars launched in India than will be very costly as they would not be locally made and will have to pay 100 per cent duty. The Infiniti versions are priced in the range of Rs. 15,30,000 - Rs. 23,40,000 in the US market. The Infiniti price tags for the Indian market are yet to be announced and will be mostly double than this due to 100 percent duty.
The range of the Infiniti includes sedans, coupes, convertibles, sports utility vehicles (SUV) and SUV coupes. India is currently the best market for cars. The demand in the country has bought many top car makers launch their cars here like BMW X6 and the M series, Mercedes new C-Class, E-Class and S-Class, as well as the AMG series, Audi R8, the Porsche range of models, Land Rover and Jaguar and many more.
Nissan is yet to make its position strong in Indian market as currently it sells ionly 2 models X-Trail and Teana and both are imported and the company is planning to launch first locally produced car from its Chennai plant within next nine months.
