King Khan has dubbed the prologue for the Hindi version of the movie, which is releasing simultaneously in five languages including Hindi and English. Kamal Hassan has dubbed the prologue for the Tamil version. The Malayalam original has Mohanlal introducing PAZHASSI RAJA to the audiences through a 45 second prologue.

The movie is set to be released on 2nd October. The movie will bring Mammootty as Pazhassi Raja on the screen. Sources say that Shah Rukh Khan not only did it on the request of director T Hariharan, who had gone to meet him during a shoot in Film City, but also refused to charge any money for his obliging act. The reason for not charging is sadi to be the emotions of Shah Rukh attached to it as he is also from the freedom fighter family.

Pazhassi Raja was one of the earliest freedom fighters of India. Mammootty was a native king of Waynad in Malabar area of Kerala. He had raised the banner of rebellion against the British East India Company, when the whole Indian population was suffering in silence. It was even before that first freedom struggle that had started with sepoy mutiny in 1857 AD.

Jayamohan, the famous Tamil writer has been chosen by MT Vasudevan Nair to translate the Malayalam dialogues of the film into Tamil. Monisha, an associate of Priyadarshan, has done the Hindi dialogues for the film.

The makers of the movie are keen on taking the best from the industry and in no condition are willing to compromise on the quality is reflected from the entire unit chosen to work on the movie.
