Samsung has launched three new handsets to its popular low-cost Guru series. The handsets are named Guru 2120, Guru 2130 and Guru 1160 making a total to 11 phones in the Rs. 1,649 to Rs. 3,600 range of phone in the company.

The camera is an added feature in the Guru series as Guru 2120 and Guru 2130 will have camera.

Samsung Guru 2120 is a complete multimedia phone which features a VGA camera with video facility, image editor feature which helps to crop photos, adjust brightness and contrast, and even add frames. It also has a MP3 player and a shortcut key, allowing for music storage of up to 2GB on an external memory card, FM radio and a recording function making it a real low-cost highly featured phone. And it also includes Bluetooth, Bike Mode/Whisper Mode, 9 regional languages, Advanced Mobile tracker and Mobile prayer 2.0 in four Indian religions, a battery back up of 11 hours all these with just Rs. 3240.

The Samsung Guru 2130 also features a VGA Camera and video recorder, and its large memory storing space of 2GB with the micro SD Card like Guru 2120, and also has has powerful dual loud speakers, giving sound a new dimension. There comes FM Radio which can be heard without the need of earphones. It has the Mobile tracker, Bike Mode, Mobile prayer 2.0 and 4 pre-loaded Java games. Guru 2130 costs only Rs. 3600.

Samsung Guru 1160 has ‘value for money’ package. This model has wireless stereo FM radio, powered by dual loudspeakers, and supports MP3 ringtones. It is a dual band phone with torch light function, lasting for up to 40 hours, battery provides a talk-time of up to 12.3 hours in normal use. The phone features Bike Mode as well, which prioritises the user’s calls so that only the important calls are answered automatically using the earphones, while driving a two wheeler. The common between all three is seven regional languages. The Guru 1160 costs Rs. 2,249.
