Samsung Electronics Hong Kong announced the launch of the SAMSUNG Anycall Pixon12, which builds on the success of the Pixon M8800H, the 8.0 Mega pixel full-touch camera phone. The Pixon12 is the first 12 Mega pixel full touch camera phone with the combination of Auto Focus Tracking function and advanced features for shooting, seeing, and sharing.

“The Pixon12 is a response to consumers who demand robust camera features in their mobile phones. Its speedy access to the camera mode, 12 Mega pixel camera with Auto Focus Tracking, 28mm Wide Angle, F2.6 Large Aperture, Smart Auto Shooting Mode, 3.1-inch AMOLED full touch screen, and Communities feature allows users to easily capture, browse, and share their images on the move.” said Billy Chen, director of the Telecommunications Team, Samsung Electronics Hong Kong. “The Pixon12 is the latest result of Samsung Anycall’s ongoing efforts in consumer research to develop groundbreaking products that do not just meet but surpass our customers’ expectations. “

Professional Digital Camera
With 12 Mega pixel highest resolution in a camera phone, Pixon12 comes equipped with Auto Focus Tracking function. Users can simply select a focus point with the touch of a finger and the Auto Focus Tracking function will automatically keep the object in focus even if it moves across the screen. Users can actuate the Auto Focus Tracking continually on selected moving object, such as child, runner, butterfly, etc. Smart Auto Shooting Mode allows users to confidently capture perfect images every time. It can intelligently select the proper camera settings based on predefined shooting situations. Pixon12 can also record high quality videos in DVD level resolution (720x480 pixel). It enables users to capture the most precious moments in the greatest detail.

Users can take full advantage of all-round imaging technology, such as 28mm Wide Angle, F2.6 Large Aperture, Face Detection, Smile Shot, etc. With the Xenon and Power LED flash, users can capture well-lit photos and videos even in dark surroundings. Its dedicated Camera Hot Key gives users fast one-touch access to the camera function, and the phone can snap images as fast as an advanced standalone digital camera.

Seeing
With a large 3.1-inch 16 million color WVGA AMOLED full-touch screen, the Pixon12 offers high contrast and brilliant color for viewing and reliving of favorite photos. Media Browser allows users to easily organize and manage photos with multiple ways of sorting – by Tag, Face, Rating, and Time. It makes viewing and editing photos much easier.

Sharing
Pixon12 supports HSPA (HSUPA5.76Mbps and HSDPA 7.2Mbps) upload and download speeds and Wi-Fi connectivity; users can share their photos to friends and family instantly. With the combination of Social Networking Widgets and Communities feature, it offers simple one-click uploads of users’ favorite photos or video to popular Social Networking sites, including Facebook, Picasa, YouTube, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket, and Friendster.

Advanced All Round Features
With improved 3x TOUCHWiZ User Interface and 800MHz processor, Pixon12 allows user to enjoy intuitive experience and multi-tasking. For example, user can navigate the internet, view photo album, and listen to music simultaneously. The embedded music player supports a wide range of music file formats including MP3/AAC/AAC+/e-AAC+/WMA. And, with 150MB of internal memory and microSDHC™ support (up to 16GB); users can store favorite songs, photos, and videos. Adding a new ActiveSyncTM function, user can manage the mail and contacts easily.
