Maruti is all set to land up with all new Maruti Omni, so called EKO on this Diwali. The model will be available before this Diwali in the Indian market. 
The largest car selling company has created this model under the code name O2 that uses the Maruti Versa platform.
Maruti Eko boasts of 796cc engine which produces 35bhp with peak torque at 6.1/Kgm. The car weighs around 750kg.
The current model of Maruti Omni was built on Maruti 800 model but the new model will attract a premium. Moreover, the car will compete with upcoming models of Tata Motors called Tata Manza which is set to launch on 14th Oct and GM’s Chevrolet Cruze which is already in the market.
Maruti Omni is one of the most popular vans in India and has helped Maruti to capture a large market share in India. This new Maruti Eko will be priced competitively for less than Rs. 5 lakh.
