Acer reveals new Android based smartphone: A1 Liquid

Acer, the PC maker has debut in the mobile phone segment and has revealed its first android based smartphone on 14th of October. The handset is the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon processor based and world’s first Android 1.6 high definition smartphone.

The new handset is a part of Acer’s Liquid series and its model is Acer A1 Liquid. The Liquid features a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor for snappy response, a Wide VGA (800 x 480 pixels) resolution capacitive touchscreen display, and high-speed HSPA data connectivity. A1 is the third smartphone after the TG01 and the HTC HD2 to feature a 1GHz processor. It is also the first Wide-VGA smartphone in the market that should easily benefit from the latest release of the Android 1.6 Operating System (aka Donut).

 The A1 Liquid is equipped with a 3.5-inch capacitive display that also aims to take full advantage of 3D gaming and to offer users a better Android experience. It will also feature a new UI. The phone will arrive with GPS system. The A1 Liquid will have all latest technology like 3G involved which will help users for social networking and video streaming.

The handset will be available in red, white and black colors. Other details like when the device might go on sale and how much it would cost were not immediately available from the company. The phone looks really cool so just take a look at the pics available currently!
