Chevrolet Spark’s electric version will be available in India by General Motors in next 12 months. 
P Balendran, Vice President, GM said that, “While Reva will provide the technology; GM will do the engineering and manufacturing of the green cars”. GM has entered into a technology tie-up with Bangalore-based Reva Electric Car Company to produce green cars here. Reva Electric Car Company is the only automaker in India to manufacture and sell electric cars.
GM is also launching its new model in the D-segment sedan ‘Chevrolet Cruze’ in India on Tuesday. Cruze will be available in two variants LT and LTZ for the price of Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 12.45 lakh (ex-showroom Hyderabad) respectively.
The copany is also planning to export 20 per cent of the production at its Halol (Gujarat) and Talegaon (Maharashtra) manufacturing plants from 2011.
