Samsung Electronics Hong Kong today announced the launch of the SAMSUNG Anycall GALAXY, the slimmest (11.9mm) Android-powered mobile phone on the market. This new model comes fully equipped with Google mobile services and supports Android Market where you can download over 10,000 applications to personalize your mobile Galaxy.

Users need only sign in to their Google Account once and their phone will always be online and synchronized with Google services” said Billy Chen, Director of Telecommunication Team, Samsung Electronics Hong Kong. “With Samsung Anycall’s accumulated technology experience and leadership in the mobile phone industry, and our consistent strategy to support existing operating systems, we are providing better products and better user experiences to our customers.”

The Android platform enables GALAXY to connect to a full suite of Google services -- Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Talk -- in an easy-to-use interface. The integrated GPS receiver allows the comprehensive use of Google Maps’ features, including My Location, Google Latitude, local search, detailed route description and more.

With a large 3.2-inch 16 million color HVGA (320 x 480) AMOLED full-touch screen, the GALAXY offers higher contrast and brilliant color for the optimum delivery of multimedia features. The 5.0 mega-pixel auto-focus camera also comes with LED Flash. In addition, it provides 8GB internal memory and microSDHC (up to 32GB) memory for storing music, photos, and videos.

The GALAXY comes with a large capacity 1500mAh battery and lower power consumption AMOLED display to enable longer time for talking on the phone, gaming, watching videos, listening to music and browsing the Internet.

The new phone also supports HSDPA 7.2Mbps and HSUPA 5.76Mbps enhanced 3G/3.5G upload and download speeds. And, with Wi-Fi support, customers can always get online at Internet hotspots. Bluetooth V2.1 and USB 2.0 provide fast connections to mobile peripherals, PCs and other devices for more convenient file transfers.
