By the end of 2009, TVS is set to roll out the India’s first motorcycle with automatic clutch. This new technology will help the bike riders to shift the gears without using the clutch again and again which will be a great relief in full traffic.

Sources said that only the gears need to be changed and there would not be any compromise on pickup or speed so that “thrill and joy of biking are intact.

News reveals that the company is working on this bike since last 18 months. But company has declined to reveal any details about the launch of the new bike. The new motorcycle will be positioned in the executive segment.

The major attraction of the bike is its mileage and pricing as TVS has worked well on it. They say that the motorcycle could create the same kind of impact as gearless scooters did when they hit the Indian roads over two decades ago.

This Motorcycle may attract women riders too, as it will be easier to operate, especially on crowded roads with women being attracted towards gearless scooters since long.

On an average, monthly sales in this segment are around 350,000 units and bikes in this segment ranges around Rs 41,000-45,000 price band (ex-showroom).
