Pantech Group made public that it is to launch a new handset named "Reveal", a double keypad messaging handset which can be used with numeric keypad and QWERTY keypad simultaneously, via American mobile communication service provider, AT&T.

"Pantech Reveal" is a uniquely designed messaging handset, which looks like a bar type at the first blush, but shows QWERTY keypad as pushing up slider. It is designed as showing Qwerty keypad as pushing up slider to improve convenience in use and the problem of inconvenience with existing messaging handsets that have to push the slider crosswise for using Qwerty keypad is solved. Its model is named "Reveal" that implies QWERTY keypad being shown.

"Reveal" is optimized to messaging utility from its design through all the features. You can use it just like a bar type handset but you can also push up its slider to use both numeric keypad and QWERTY keypad as you desire to send a message. It features compact size (99.3 x 59.9 x 14.8 mm) that allows you to enter characters with both QWERTY keypad and numeric keypad easily only by one hand to quickly and easily send a message. 

Its mobile Internet feature is also improved which is emerged as one of main trends of the mobile world. "Reveal" is the first model adopted “Opera Mini” Web browser, which is for AT&T only. This model of handset features fine Web page configuration and representation and its increased page download speed allows using of various Web services provided by AT&T in an environment similar to PC.

"Reveal" also has AGPS in addition to email feature to allow you to use navigator service provided by AT&T through network to receive real time information from handset till arriving at your destination. And, real time chatting with your friends is also available by instant messaging feature (IM). The handset has blue and red color.

Lim, Seong-Jae, managing director and director in overseas marketing headquarter of Pantech Group mentioned: "Pantech Reveal has groundbreaking usability designed considering customers' demand for more quickly and easily sending a message." "We listened to voice from various consumer groups and this model of handset provides numeric keypad familiar by user and QWERTY keypad convenient in entering characters and also meets the demand of both bar type and slider type"

Pantech Group is now enhancing its presence in messaging handset market in North America. The dual messaging handset "Matrix" launched in October 2008 has been sold nearly one million units and the thinnest bar type QWERTY handset "Slate" launched in November last year has attracted public attention. Pantech Group is planned to launch touch key messaging handset including "Pantech Reveal" the second half of the year and strengthen the force in marketing with various designs of messaging handset.
