With the launch of Windows 7, Acer came in competition with its latest launch T230H touch-screen monitor. The T230H features multi-touch capabilities and is a 23-inch widescreen monitor that offers Full HD resolution at 1920 x 1080 pixels, an 80,000:1 contrast ratio, 300 cd/m2 brightness, 2ms response time and a 160/160 degree viewing angle.
Along with the way of navigating using its various multitouch gestures, the T230H also allows to use a keyboard and a mouse with this monitor. But for a thought, multitouch operating system makes sense on a smartphone or a tablet.
But for a deskop or laptop, it all seems nuts. The reason being one has to lean forward to smear their finger grease across a screen when a mouse can be handled just as capably from a supine position. But still some prefers for standard or technology.
The Acer T230H is undeniably a good looking monitor and supports a HDMI interface. Acer has incorporated a 2ms response time in T230H to attract young generation interested in gaming. It also claims to incorporate USB ports, 1.5 watt stereo speakers as well as VGA and DVI input ports.
the Acer T230H multitouch monitor is currently launched in Europe for a price of around €349 (approx. Rs. 24,323) and is expected to be launched in US soon.
