Recently, JVC has announced the XV-BP 11 Blu-ray high definition player that accommodates playback of Blu-ray, AVCHD, DVD, MP3 and JPEG formats. The all new JVC XV-BP 11 Blu-ray player will cost just $200.

These days, what separates Blu-ray players from one another has less to do with how they play Blu-rays--they all do that pretty well--and more to do with the sort of extra features they offer. The XV-BP 11 Blu-ray lacks the features which most of players offer like online entertainment options, including Amazon Video On Demand, Pandora, Vudu, and especially Netflix. The player only complies with the older Blu-ray Profile 1.1 standard.

Though the device supports wide range of media, which includes BD-Rom, BD-R/RE, DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, Audio CD, CD-R/RW discs, it also supports AVCHD file playback. There's also a USB port on the front panel capable of playing back a few digital media formats, like AVCHD, JPEG, MPEG-4, MP3 and WMA. (Sorry, no DivX.)

The player also features Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital plus, Dolby True HD, DTS as well as DTS HD Master Audio/Essential. The latest player also offers quick loading with cinema zoom (x16) and parental lock.

With the information obtained most people would prefer PS3 instead for $200 with these less of features.
